Palanichamy and his nephew Maruthu resort to intimidation and dissuasion tactics to prevent others from acquiring the land, aiming to keep Maravathoor's farm under their control. Their efforts include blocking essential water sources to worsen the farm's living conditions. These tactics highlight their greed and malicious intent.

To further pressure Michael, Palanichamy destroys a spring water source, making it difficult for the family to sustain their farm and livelihood. This act intensifies the hardships faced by Michael’s family and underscores Palanichamy’s malicious measures.

Facing mounting difficulties, Michael’s family relocates temporarily to Annie’s house, where they try to manage the farm despite the ongoing water crises. The change in environment offers some relief but highlights their struggle to hold onto their land.

Palanichamy attempts to tarnish Chandy’s reputation by spreading malicious rumors that Mary and Chandy are involved in an illicit relationship. This deception aims to create discord and weaken Chandy’s support among the villagers.
