Set around aging star Aoi Monzen and her daughters Kazusa and Lisa, the film follows a mother who pits them against each other, turning sibling affection into hidden resentment. When a mysterious girl named Orochi saves Aoi from a fatal accident, a decades‑long chain of events unfolds. As the estate darkens, Orochi—also the narrator—reveals a terrifying secret the Monzens must keep hidden. The story adapts Kazuo Umezu’s 1969‑70 manga.
