One Summer, a 1983 drama written by Willy Russell and directed by Gordon Flemyng, follows 16‑year‑old Liverpool boys (David Morrissey, Spencer Leigh) from broken homes who flee to Wales for the summer. The five‑part, 50‑minute series features James Hazeldine and Ian Hart, aired on Channel 4 in August‑September 1983 and repeated on ITV in April 1985.
