Set in pre‑World War II Zagreb, the story is seen through six‑year‑old Perica Šafranek (Tomislav Žganec). The dashing Mr. Fulir (Relja Bašić) begins flirting with Perica’s mother during a family picnic. Perica’s father, initially oblivious, even invites Fulir to their home while planning his aunt’s marriage. After several encounters he finally realises Fulir’s attempts to seduce his wife.
