In the final act One Hit Wonder brings Lorina’s two divergent paths—her love of music and her long‑awaited reunion with her mother—into a single, joyous conclusion. After refusing to perform at the 1994 competition, fearing the weight of past disappointment and the looming fame of the former champion, she chooses to accept a college scholarship and moves to San Francisco to live with her mother. While the band she helped form, A Band Named Tessa, lands a record deal thanks to Entoy’s impromptu performance, Lorina stays away, convinced that the glittering music world belongs to Entoy, not her.

The story shifts forward to 2002. While working at a record store, Lorina hears the band’s hit song on the radio—dedicated to her and echoing the bracelet her father gave her as a child. Moved, she leaves a voice‑mail for Entoy’s father, Ben, asking him to tell his son she’ll return. Ben’s brief, heartfelt letter to Entoy, written before his sudden death, finally gives the son the encouragement his father always denied him, allowing the band’s success to feel less hollow.

When Lorina and her mother return to Manila, they find Lyn‑Lyn—a former friend who once idolized Lorina—now a superstar performing under the name Jo‑C. In a surprise backstage moment, Jo‑C invites Lorina onto the stage to sing the second verse of a new single. Though the spotlight still makes her nervous, Lorina’s voice is steadier than ever, buoyed by memories of her father’s pride and the years she spent away from the mic. As she finishes the line, Entoy appears in the aisle, and the two run into each other, embracing as the crowd erupts.

The ending closes with Lorina rejoining the band—now free to pursue music on her own terms—and the group’s dynamic reshaped: Regine, the original competition winner, steps aside, while the members balance family life and side projects. Lorina finally has both the love she longed for and the chance to sing again, completing a full circle from the hesitant girl who lost her lucky bracelet to a confident woman who chooses her own stage. The film ends on a hopeful note, suggesting that dreams postponed can still be realized when the right moment arrives.
