Two women and a transvestite gay man intersect in a modest Quebec city, a French‑Canadian drama. The transvestite prepares for a drag‑queen pageant, choosing Cleopatra as his persona. One woman, recently fired as a waitress, tries to return to the nightclub hosting the contest. The other’s mother has just won a million food stamps.
