Diego, a closeted gay Hispanic chef in East Los Angeles, runs the kitchen of grandmother’s restaurant. He and his lover Pablo are shaken when Diego becomes attracted to Wesley, an openly gay white man he sees as part of the neighborhood’s gentrification. Their connection forces Diego to imagine a life he never thought possible, offering authenticity.
