Giacinto Rossi, a struggling driver drowning in debt, is jailed after a fake crime. In his cell he meets Tagliabue, a cold‑blooded murderer, the aged thief Sorcio, and Papaleo, an intellectual driven by twisted honor who killed his fiancée’s lover. The three compel Giacinto to devise and lead a bold prison break.
