Izzah, Maya Karin and Hariz, Aaron Aziz, are from two very different worlds and must navigate a web of pressures and promises on their troubled path to happiness. Izzah, a village girl, is sold by her uncle to an entertainment club in Kuala Lumpur to become a prostitute, while Hariz, the son of Madam Sufiah, runs the powerful Sufiah Catering empire. He buys Izzah to be his mistress, but she pleads with him to marry her and legitimize their bond.

Hariz agrees, but imposes a hard condition: Izzah must not claim any rights as a wife. Yet the rough, hot-tempered heir cannot help but be drawn to Izzah’s tenderness, and a fragile affection begins to bloom between them, even as society, family, and money test their commitment. The romance is stubbornly opposed by Madam Sufiah, who sees the union as a threat to the family’s name and control.

Pressure mounts when Hariz is compelled by his mother to marry Mila Amylia, Lisa Surihani, a childhood friend who has become a famous model and actress. Mila’s presence complicates the dynamics, and Hariz’s loyalty to Izzah is challenged by duty, ambition, and the desire for a respectable public life.

A devastating road accident leaves Hariz in a coma, and in the aftermath Madam Sufiah drives Izzah out of the bungalow, confiscating the car keys and mobile phones to sever any trace of the relationship. Once he awakens, she fabricates a cruel lie: Izzah has forgotten him and is involved with another man. To back up her claim, she produces a photograph, supposedly taken by a private detective, showing Mail, Izzah’s childhood friend, appearing intimate with her. In truth, Izzah has helped Mail get a job in Kuala Lumpur and has sheltered him at Pak Dollah’s house.

Driven by rage and heartbreak, Hariz rushes to Pak Dolah’s residence and confronts what he believes to be the betrayal. He finds Mail and Izzah there, confirming Madam Sufiah’s story in his mind. He storms away in anger, and Izzah, desperate to reach him, chases after him and slips, bleeding as she hovers on the edge of a possible miscarriage. At the hospital, both Izzah and the unborn baby are eventually confirmed to be safe, offering a glimmer of hope amid the turmoil.

A confrontation deepens when Pak Dolah arrives and reveals a long-buried secret pact between Pak Dolah and Madam Sufiah’s husband, one that has left Hariz under the sway of the family’s schemes since birth. Hariz learns that he has effectively been adopted into Madam Sufiah’s world, a revelation that fills him with remorse for the years lost and for the pain he caused Izzah. He travels to Izzah’s village, seeking forgiveness, and she welcomes him back with warmth and caution.

Mila, witnessing the strength of their bond, appears in the village and, recognizing the depth of Hariz and Izzah’s love, asks him to divorce her. The film closes on a hopeful note as Izzah and Hariz choose a quieter, more honest life together, free from manipulation and social pressures, building a simple happiness rooted in trust, mutual respect, and the belief that love can endure even the harshest obstacles.
