Ahmad, a Bangsamoro doctor residing in Manila, yearns for a simple, peaceful life even as many of his people wage a struggle for Mindanao’s independence. His wife Fatima and son Ibrahim stay in Mindanao with his mother Farida, but Ibrahim is killed by stray gunfire from vigilantes. Devastated, Ahmad returns home, resolved to maintain a non‑violent path, which puts him at odds with his brother Musa, who trains his son Rashid for armed resistance against perceived enemies.
