New Gods: Nezha Reborn

In the city of Donghai, residents suffer from a severe water shortage, setting the stage for Yunxiang's underground activities and his efforts to help the community. Yunxiang works as a motorbike racer and smuggler, secretly providing water to the residents by breaching water facilities. His actions are motivated by his desire to assist his fellow citizens amidst their hardships.

Ao Bing, son of the De Clan leader Ao Guang, arrogantly pursues Yunxiang and his sister Kasha over Yunxiang's stolen bike. The chase leads to a confrontation where Ao Bing injures Kasha and Yunxiang, sparks Yunxiang's mysterious fire powers, and forces them to escape from the chaos. Yunxiang's latent abilities begin to surface during this conflict.

After the night of the fight, Yunxiang awakens in a hospital, surprised to find his wounds healed and Kasha missing her right leg. At the hospital, he meets Su Junzhu, a woman from his race, and learns about the extent of his injuries and the aftermath of his encounter with Ao Bing. This event marks the beginning of his awareness of his powers.

Ao Guang, leader of the De Clan, personally visits Yunxiang to apologize for his son's reckless actions, returning Yunxiang's bike and offering money. However, Yunxiang, feeling betrayed and embittered, rejects the offer. Ao Guang then orders his forces to kill Yunxiang, leading to a deadly pursuit and Yunxiang defeating the assassins with his emerging powers.

Yunxiang is rescued by a mysterious masked man who reveals himself as the reincarnation of Nezha, plant­ing the seed of confusion regarding his true origins. Yunxiang doubts the revelation and leaves, unsure of his role and identity. The masked man begins to train him to control his unpredictable abilities.

Ao Guang, aware of Yunxiang's powers, tries to have him killed by hiring the Six-Eared Macaque, who refuses the contract. Ao Guang then informs his son Ao Bing about Yunxiang's divine origins, igniting Ao Bing's desire for revenge due to his own past near-death experience caused by Nezha. The conflict deepens as Yunxiang trains to master his abilities.

Yunxiang continues to train under the guidance of the masked man, now revealed as the Six-Eared Macaque, who helps him learn to control his fiery powers. Yunxiang constructs special armor to harness his abilities and creates a prosthetic for Kasha. During training, he also discovers more about Nezha’s primordial spirit within him.

Ao Guang's allies attack the hospital in an effort to eliminate Yunxiang, killing Yunxiang's friend Six and targeting Kasha, who escapes. Yunxiang fights back against the attackers but is overwhelmed when his father arrives wounded and later passes away. Yunxiang mourns his father's death, fueling his desire for revenge against the De Clan.

Yunxiang travels to the De Clan mansion, confronting Ao Guang and Ao Bing. With the help of the Macaque, he battles Ao Bing in dragon form, eventually ripping off his metallic spine to defeat him. Yunxiang learns about Nezha’s past, which includes his killing Ao Bing’s previous life and the resulting tragic consequences, causing Yunxiang to question his own identity and purpose.

The Macaque reveals himself as Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, explaining that Ao Guang’s underwater palace contains the water supply, and that the restrained river dragons are used to create the Dragon Pearl, a source of power. Yunxiang learns about the importance of freeing these dragons to save the city and grow stronger personally.

Yunxiang infiltrates Ao Guang’s palace to free the enslaved water creatures, aware that Ao Guang has kidnapped Su Junzhu to distract him. During the mission, Yunxiang fights Ao Guang, who transforms into a dragon, and battles to stop the Tsunami. Despite his efforts, the Dragon Pearl is swallowed, triggering a catastrophic tsunami aimed at destroying Donghai.

In the climax, Yunxiang confronts Ao Guang in his dragon form and kills him by tearing off his spine. He tries to harness Nezha’s power to stop the tsunami, sacrificing his life in the process. His primordial spirit is revived in a heroic act, and together they redirect the dragons away from the city to prevent complete destruction.

After saving the city, Yunxiang is revived and accepts his role as a hero, returning to a peaceful life with a deeper understanding of himself and his powers. The city is saved from the devastating tsunami, and Yunxiang begins to settle into his new destiny, inspired by those who supported him.
