José Manuel Gomez Perales, known as El Jaro, is a fifteen-year-old with a long criminal record. He teams up with his three best friends—El Butano, Jhonny, and El Chus—to form a reckless gang. They begin stealing handbags, coins from payphones, cars, motorbikes, and breaking windows to raid stores. The lack of a stable home pushes them deeper into crime.

El Jaro visits his older brother in prison and, without a home of his own, ends up living with Mercedes, a prostitute who offers him affection and a place to stay. Her care gives him a home while his gang activity grows louder and more dangerous. The arrangement deepens his ties to the street life.

At a cemetery, El Jaro unveils a gun he has managed to obtain, signaling a turning point for him and his crew. The weapon lets them escalate their crimes beyond petty theft. With the gun, they feel invincible as they plan their next move.

El Jaro and his gang, with Toñi's help, rob motel clients and move through the rooms. In one room he unexpectedly encounters his mother, a prostitute he hasn’t seen in years since he ran away at age twelve. The reunion is tense and underscores the personal costs of his choices.

Police pursue the group after the motel assault, forcing them to flee across rooftops. They eventually crash into a nearby ballet school, narrowly evading capture. The escape demonstrates their agility but also magnifies the danger surrounding them.

Seeking drugs, El Marques's men corner El Jaro in a bar where Kid Marin sexually assaults him as part of a revenge scheme. The brutal act fuels anger and prompts counteractions from El Jaro and his friends. The bar becomes a flashpoint for the group's violence.
