In the distant future of 2707, the ancient machine, an artifact from space, is centered in a world ravaged by natural resource depletion. This machine, sealed away for thousands of years, reemerges as a source of chaos and destruction as it transforms humans into mutants.

The machine is inadvertently uncovered during a bloody conflict between two warring corporations, Capitol and Bauhaus. This excavation triggers the rebirth of the mutants, leading to massive chaos and destruction.

Within just six weeks of the machine's activation, the world faces an overwhelming threat from savage mutant gangs. These mutants, transformed by the machine, begin to capture and convert remaining humans, plunging society into turmoil.

In response to the increasing threat, a team of soldiers is assembled for a risky mission to transport an ancient device to the machine's core. This mission, deemed a suicide endeavor, offers the promise of safe transport to Mars for their loved ones as motivation.

While en route, the team's spaceship is attacked and shot down by a kamikaze pilot mutant. This event sets the stage for a desperate struggle for survival as they are forced to fight their way through treacherous terrain.

Following the crash, the survivors must navigate dark and perilous tunnels infested with mutants. The fights that ensue are brutal and test the limits of their strength and resolve as they seek a way to the machine's core.

As the team battles their way through, they face tragic losses, including Mitch, who undergoes a partial transformation into a mutant. In a heartbreaking moment, he is forced to take his former brother-in-arms, Brother Samuel's life, who has become fully altered.

Amidst great despair and loss, Mitch, the last survivor, bravely activates the ancient device in a last-ditch effort to destroy the wicked machine. However, instead of obliterating it, the device reveals its true nature as a component of a spacecraft and launches into space.

In his final moments, Brother Samuel urges Mitch to 'have faith' as the rocket ascends into the sky, symbolizing hope amid overwhelming despair. These words become a poignant reminder of the faith that can drive one in hopeless times.

As the rocket soars, Mitch makes the critical decision to jump from it, navigating down into an underground lake. His actions signify both a personal sacrifice and an effort to save what remains of humanity.

Emerging from the lake, Mitch witnesses the rocket's ascent and experiences a profound realization of his role as the prophesied savior of mankind. Despite his long-standing disbelief in a deity, he comes to understand the weight of his actions.

In a haunting final scene, Mitch, now mortally wounded and part-mutated, struggles to light a cigarette. As he faces his end, viewers are left with the poignant image of the spacecraft heading towards Mars, symbolizing hope for a new beginning despite the darkness of his journey.
