Bucharest, 1972. Seventeen-year-old Ana longs for love and freedom. During a party with friends, a seemingly harmless letter is sent to Metronom, a popular musical program broadcast by Radio Free Europe. This act unwittingly draws the attention of the Securitate, the feared secret police operating under the oppressive regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu, and sets off a chain of events with potentially dangerous consequences for Ana and those around her.
