Messengers 2: The Scarecrow

The film opens with a woman running through the cornfields from an unseen foe, and she is killed, setting a dark tone for what follows. Seeking answers, John encounters a new neighbor, Jude Weatherby, who seems to know more about the scarecrow than he lets on. The aftermath leaves John crushed by guilt, and his wife, Mary Rollins, struggles to believe him, feeling the weight of a marriage strained by suspicion and miscommunication.

As the truth comes to light, John learns that Jude and Miranda are the ghosts of the farm’s former owners, who have invoked a voodoo-tinged curse to reclaim the land.
