Anne Merz plans to launch an event agency with Jonas, but lacks the necessary funds. A notary appointment with her father, Ludwig, who is living with dementia, becomes complicated when he unexpectedly reveals the existence of an illegitimate daughter also entitled to the inheritance. This revelation shocks Anne's mother, Maria, and sets off a chaotic family dispute. As Anne fights for her share of the inheritance and her father's affection, her ex-husband Erik and his parents become entangled, while her son Leon deals with problems in his marriage to Soraya, who is dealing with her own issues involving her ex, Rico.
