Examining the state of public discourse in France, this documentary explores how a concentration of privately-owned media outlets impacts the flow of information. Billionaire industrialists controlling television, radio, and newspapers utilize their platforms to protect their own interests, often at the expense of important public information. By selectively highlighting certain stories and obscuring others, these media organizations can manipulate public debate, sometimes with the cooperation of political leaders. Mediapart and Premières Lignes investigate what occurs behind the scenes within the media landscape.
