A journalist becomes entangled with a group of young men planning acts of violence in contemporary France. Driven by a desire to understand their motivations and a sense of duty, he embeds himself with them, witnessing their descent into radicalization. As their mission to disrupt Paris escalates, he finds himself increasingly conflicted, blurring the boundaries between observer and participant, and questioning the consequences of his involvement.
