Villa Orfeus is an eccentric old house that has become a neighborhood treasure, offering a sanctuary where residents can be themselves in an alienated world. Owned by Lydia Wiljengren (Ellen Gottschalch), the widow of a wealthy music dealer, she has spent her fortune on musical people. The sole condition for staying is the ability to play an instrument or sing.
