A clash of cultures unfolds when a government official plans to transport an orphaned orca hundreds of miles over land to reunite it with its pod. The Mowachaht‑Muchalaht First Nations, who believe the whale carries the spirit of their late chief, work to stop the plan. As the community splits, a young Indigenous boy wrestles with his identity and new Band chief Mike Maquinna faces a trial by fire that could shape his future.
