When Lissa, a concert pianist, learns she has only a short time left to live, she goes to Cornwall seeking one last adventure. There she meets Kit, a young mineral prospector whose hidden past keeps him from serving in the War, and they quickly fall in love. Unaware of it, Lissa soon discovers that Kit’s attentions are also being courted by a rival, complicating their brief romance.
