Fernando and Manolo Mier, brothers in their seventies, are among the last shepherds preserving a traditional way of life in the Picos de Europa mountains. They share their wisdom and happiness with remarkable generosity, thriving in a harsh environment where survival is a challenge for many. Revered as legends, they embody the spirit of the region, alongside iconic landmarks like El Urriellu and the area’s famed wolf population. Their unique way of life and accumulated wisdom face the threat of disappearing with them.
