Morris Engel’s All‑American classic follows teenage Joey Norton, who, after a misguided prank makes him believe he has killed his older brother, bolts from home. He spends a frantic day wandering Coney Island’s attractions while his brother races to locate him, hoping to bring him back before their mother discovers the turmoil.
