Ever since childhood, Lee Chi‑kin has dreamed of becoming a police officer despite his criminal family background. After joining the force he is first assigned to the Narcotics Bureau, where he arrests a dealer, then transferred to the Anti‑Porno Bureau and falls for a call girl, and later to the Regional Crime Unit under Inspector Chu. He kills drug lord Ng Cheung, prompting Ng’s father to hire the assassin known as the Thousand‑Faces Man. After a series of confrontations Lee apprehends the killer. A corrupt mental‑hospital director has him institutionalised, leading to a brief mental breakdown; once released he quits policing and works as a restaurant waiter.
