In 1965 Natasa Arseni visits Dachau, the camp where Americans rescued her after World II. Returning to Greece, she reflects on her past during the train ride. Before the Greek‑Italian war she met Orestis, a Greek army officer who fled to the Middle East when the Germans invaded. She followed him back, was interrogated, tortured and sentenced to death.
