The film likens the nation to lava—solid and harsh on the surface, cold and barren, yet harboring a centuries‑old inner fire that sustains its heat. On the eve of the Day of the Dead, ancient rituals in the Vilnius region awaken, and the ghosts of both past and present begin to appear, intertwining memory and tradition.
