Laurie Kilmartin delivers a darkly comedic and surprisingly relatable performance, drawing on her experiences while her father was in hospice. Her candid tweets about the situation gained widespread attention, and this filmed special explores those themes of loss, grief, and the realities of dealing with a loved one's passing. Kilmartin shares her thoughts on cancer, hospice care, funerals, and the often-painful but ultimately human process of mourning, all captured at The Lyric Theater in Los Angeles.
