When one of Santa’s reindeer injures his hoof, his stable hand John needs to find a replacement to ensure Christmas deliveries proceed as planned. He enlists Frankie, a seemingly ideal substitute, who belongs to an energetic eight-year-old girl and her mother, Annie. As John works to get Frankie ready for the journey to the North Pole, he unexpectedly finds himself falling for Annie, and must balance his mission with a budding romance and the fate of Christmas.
