Read the complete plot breakdown of Largo Winch II (2011), including all key story events, major twists, and the ending explained in detail. Discover what really happened—and what it all means.

Three years before his death, Nerio Winch, while driving from a business meeting in Hong Kong, tells Freddy Kaplan that he has found his son, Largo Winch, in a village in Burma and orders Freddy to tail him. Meanwhile, Largo has just saved a group of villagers from a massacre carried out by a Junta militia led by General Kyaw Min. While tending to the wounded with his lover Malunaï, a Frenchman named Simon Ovronnaz arrives with survivors he picked up along the way. However, when he explains that he was hired by a man who worked for Min, the locals, led by Kadjang, beat him severely. Largo intervenes and accidentally wounds Kadjang with his blade, and Kadjang is banished while Malunaï denounces him. Largo leaves Burma with Simon, while Simon heads for Bangkok.

In the present, Largo, now steering the W Group, announces that he will sell the company and donate the proceeds to charity. He enlists Alexandre Jung, his father’s partner and childhood friend, a former Red Cross director and the group’s current director, along with Dwight Cochrane. But as he signs the papers on Nerio’s yacht, Neretva, a Hong Kong Police unit led by UN investigator Diane Francken arrives, pressing charges of crimes against humanity tied to a Burma massacre. While searching the yacht, Francken’s team finds [Freddy Kaplan] dead in his room, suggesting the case may be more tangled than it seems.

As Francken publicly reveals a witness against Largo, he tracks down a private Swiss bank with a number tied to Pandora, Nerio’s secret account. He decides to pursue the truth by flying to Bangkok to meet the supposed witness and orders his loyal butler Gauthier to locate [Simon Ovronnaz]. In Bangkok, Largo goes to the UN embassy and is shocked to learn the witness is Malunaï, who says she was coerced to testify by Min’s forces. Francken reveals that Min was paid from Pandora; Largo vehemently protests, and a confrontation ensues, leading to Malunaï’s detention. The Thai authorities release Largo and he departs with Cochrane’s aid, though he later discovers a remorseful note from Malunaï and learns she has been deported back to Burma.

Largo flies back to Burma where the local resistance, led by Kadjang, rescues him from a transport convoy and joins his side. They head toward General Min’s base, where Min’s troops are distracted by a gas-tank explosion and Largo frees prisoners, including Malunaï’s son Noom. Min reveals he was paid to massacre the village but never received the rest of the money, and Largo is ordered to transfer 25 million to Min’s account. He complies, then resists and escapes with Noom and Malunaï. Francken, who has wired bank calls, learns of the move and flags Largo’s name, triggering a stock crash at W Group. Cochrane discovers that Nazatchov has lined up a buyout, but the fall in stock and Largo’s apparent innocence makes that purchase harder.

Back in Burma, Largo and Malunaï rekindle their romance in a hotel, and she discloses that Noom is Largo’s son. He contacts [Gauthier], who has found Simon, and they reunite to clear Largo’s name. They later arrive at the UN where Jung tries to silence Francken to prevent her from clearing Largo. Simon brings a plan to rescue him, providing the sugar remedy to counteract the sedatives Jung administered to Largo. Jung is confronted on a stairwell, and Largo defeats him, ending Jung’s scheme.

In the end, Francken clears Largo of all charges, and Nazatchov’s bid to buy W Group is blocked by the renewed attention on Largo’s case, and Largo returns to Burma to visit Malunaï’s grave with Noom. He promises to care for the boy, while Gauthier and Simon watch and a fragile peace settles over the story.
