In April 1939, Fascist Italy occupied Albania, leading to the transfer of Italian workers and technicians. Following Albania’s liberation in November 1944 and the subsequent border closures, thousands of Italian veterans and civilians remained in the country. Among them was Alfredo C., a cameraman who had previously documented the Fascist regime. Now, trapped and surrounded by countless film reels, he is compelled to work for the Communist government, re-examining his own footage and creating a new narrative from the past.
