Meanwhile, Kamlakar, who is in the hospital tending to a young man who has ingested poison, is told by the man’s friend that the suicide was a result of a rejected love. The doctor’s attempt to intervene is cut short when a car accident claims his life, a tragedy that unfolds while he is trying to stop Rahul from boarding a bus to Hyderabad.
Rahul returns home in time to mourn his brother’s death and to confront the personal cost of his four-year obsession—the missed last rites for his brother and the life he could have lived apart from this unrequited love. Sandhya is urged by Neha to see Rahul’s true feelings, and she eventually confesses that she loves him.
