Velu lives with a large family in Chennai while his father Singamuthu has disappeared after going to Kadapa to work at a colliery. The family believes he is dead, and Velu vows to resolve the situation. He discovers that Koccha, a Malaysia-based crime boss, owes Singamuthu a huge debt, prompting Velu to act.

Velu learns about the debt and decides to travel to Malaysia to deal with the matter. He teams up with his friend Aaps and they travel under the alias 'Kuruvi', a term for low-level contraband carriers. The goal is to force the debt repayment and secure his father's freedom.

In Malaysia, Velu and Aaps arrive to begin their plan, but they quickly sense that internal rivalries within Koccha's family are complicating the operation. The tense atmosphere foreshadows the danger Velu faces once he is deeper into the scheme. Velu remains focused on obtaining the diamond and clearing his father's name.

Devi, Koccha's sister who has fallen for Velu, is rescued when Velu saves her from a fall on New Year's Eve. The act deepens Devi's loyalty to Velu and motivates her to follow him to India. Velu's risky actions begin to expose Koccha's vulnerabilities.

Velu sneaks into Koccha's residence, steals a large diamond to pay his father's debt, and escapes back to India with Aaps. Devi follows Velu to India after falling in love with him. The stolen diamond marks the turning point that forces Koccha to pursue Velu.

Koccha and his gang threaten Velu's family at his Chennai home and demand the return of the diamond under threat of dire consequences. Velu's attempt to protect his family raises the stakes and motivates him to act.

Velu confronts Koccha and learns that Singamuthu survived the colliery days and is held as bonded labour in Kadapa with other prisoners. This revelation motivates Velu to go to Kadapa to rescue him.

In Kadapa, Velu encounters Koccha again and paralyzes him by throwing him onto a moving train, crippling the crime boss. Velu's action reveals the extent of Koccha's illegal operations and signals an escalation toward a final confrontation.

Velu uncovers a slave camp at the mine where Koccha and Konda Reddy are abusing workers, with Kadapa Raja torturing inmates. Velu vows to shut down the operation and free the prisoners.

Velu and Devi infiltrate Koccha's mansion on the eve of Devi's wedding to Soori. Devi reveals that Koccha's fingerprint is the password to his laptop, which Velu uses to unlock it and learn of the illegal mining and government documents.

Velu orchestrates Soori's paralysis by getting him stung with bees on the wedding day, stopping Devi's wedding. Devi's alliance with Velu solidifies as they continue to pursue justice.

Velu battles Konda Reddy, Kadapa Raja, and their henchmen, killing them to break their hold over the mine. He drags Konda Reddy's body to Koccha's mansion as evidence of his victory.

Koccha, now wheelchair-bound but alive, regains strength and attempts to shoot Velu. An STF officer named Raj arrests him and reveals that Velu had forwarded all information to them from Koccha's laptop, exposing the scheme.

Singamuthu and the others are reunited with their families, and Velu reunites with Devi. The family celebration marks the triumph over the criminals and the restoration of peace.
