Armin Glaser, a Stasi lieutenant, resides in Karl-Marx-Stadt with his wife Marie and daughter Kati. When their daughter requires medical care, they entrust her to Dr. Sigurd. Armin's suspicions grow as he investigates the treatments, and he leverages his position within the Stasi to uncover information. His inquiries lead him to a disturbing possibility: the GDR might be enabling West German pharmaceutical companies to conduct drug trials on patients in East German clinics. As Armin delves deeper, he becomes increasingly doubtful and questions the true nature of the medical practices.
