Following a narrated introduction that highlights the array of instruments heard, the short film follows Kimba the White Lion from his birth through his daring escape from a ship bound to carry him far from his homeland. Presented without spoken dialogue, the piece features a symphonic poem by Isao Tomita, drawn from the incidental music he created for the 1965 television series “Jangaru taitei.”
