Karl Kassbach, a Viennese vegetable merchant, seems utterly ordinary until he joins a right‑wing extremist group planning attacks on democratic institutions and journalists. The film delivers a meticulous, realistic portrait of the “Kleinbürger” mindset, showing how an everyday man becomes trapped between the lower and middle‑class fringes.
