A gritty thriller set in a crime‑ridden city follows defender Gary Franklin, outraged he cannot prevent Dutch Adams from being sentenced to death. Believing the slums caused Dutch’s crimes, Franklin teams up with his sister Marcia to rally residents and petition the city for funds to build recreation centers for neighborhood children.
