Despite her acclaim as a professional flutist and the constant attention of admirers, Susan Berlanger feels insecure about her lame right leg. While on a European tour she conceals the leg in a plaster cast, hoping to gauge how people treat her as a nondisabled individual. Ultimately she transforms the cast into a glass slipper, gaining the courage to reinvent herself.
