Jolanda, the Daughter of the Black Corsair

Collected at age two by a troupe of gypsies, Jolly grows up among them and learns the martial arts from the guardian who accompanies her. Her bearing and appearance take on a masculine edge, shaping her identity as a formidable fighter. This early life sets the tone for the adventures to come.

Gravely wounded, the guardian reveals that Jolanda is actually Jolanda, daughter of the Count of Ventimiglia and the legendary Black Corsair. The Corsair was murdered by Van Guld, who then handed Jolanda to the guardian to kill her. He also tells of a hidden family treasure.

To avenge the Corsair's death, Jolanda joins Van Stiller and Agonia and forges an alliance with the pirate Morgan in Tortuga. They operate under the English banner against Spain as the war intensifies. The alliance marks Jolanda's move from personal vendetta to organized piracy.

As the armistice is signed, Van Guld manipulates authorities to arrest pirates in Maracaibo, including Morgan's son Ralf, who has become Jolanda's lover. The legal trap tightens around the pirate faction. Jolanda is forced to react to this political maneuver.

Meanwhile, Ralf and his men are besieged by Spanish armigers inside the women’s convent of Santa Esperancia, a hospital for lepers. The siege ramps up the crisis and highlights the tenuous status of the pirates. Jolanda remains captive but the situation spirals toward a climactic confrontation.

A sortie enables Van Stiller to join Henry Morgan, who, having escaped arrest, is under surveillance on his ship. He learns of the unfolding events and prepares to act. The alliance between Morgan and Jolanda’s group begins to turn the tide.

By Morgan's intervention, the situation tilts back in favor of Jolanda and her allies. The pirates gain the upper hand, threatening Van Guld and the Count of Medina's position. The course of the armistice and treasure plan shifts toward a final confrontation.

In a last-ditch escape attempt, the Count of Medina finds himself adrift on a boat filled with lepers. Jolanda and her loyal companions close in, reclaiming control of the sought treasure. The emotional and physical battles converge toward the ultimate payoff.

Jolanda and her family claim the treasure, completing her quest for vengeance and reclaiming her birthright. The alliance with Morgan and the other companions solidifies into a new order among the pirate factions. The narrative closes on the treasure's possession and Jolanda's confirmed identity.
