Jian Bing Man

Da Peng, already famous from his web series, hopes to propose to Amber Kuo. To finance a ten-million-dollar ring, he enters a deal with Liang Chao, a gangster who operates as Brother Hai. The arrangement ties his dream of engagement to a dangerous, high-stakes scheme.

After securing the ring, a bar fight erupts, triggering a scandal that tarnishes Da Peng's reputation and costs him his job. Amber Kuo calls off the engagement, and Da Peng discovers the ring is lost in the chaos.

Brother Hai pursues repayment, but Da Peng escapes by claiming he has already reached out to Du Xiaoxiao and that the money will be redirected into production. The gangster agrees to let him go only if the film is completed.

Facing pressure, Da Peng pivots to making Jian Bing Man. He assembles a small crew—Pan Binlong, Ma Tao, and Hu Haiquan—and begins filming by improvising scenes with real people rather than hiring stars.

The project gains surprising momentum as making a superhero story becomes a personal quest. Da Peng explains that Jian Bing Man is about fulfilling a childhood dream, which reinvigorates the crew and lends their performances new energy.
