At a matinee, Junior wins a pet turkey but worries his parents will want it for dinner. To his shock, his father Charlie declares, “We’ll have him for Sunday dinner!” Determined to protect the bird, Junior hides it and even disguises it as his friend Redneck Rudy, a protest singer. Charlie eventually captures and brutalizes the turkey, then feels remorse, revives it and they make peace, deciding on hot‑dogs for Sunday dinner instead.
