Widowed Sulakshana Devi raises three children in a cramped rented house: two sons, Arjun and Karan Kumar, and a daughter, Suman. Life is hard, and the harsh landlord preys on Sulakshana, siphoning away her money and leaving the family in a constant fight to make ends meet. In a moment of desperation, Karan plans to rob the landlord, but his plan backfires and he is seized by authorities, ending up in a children’s remand home. Sulakshana Devi bravely travels to see him before the move to Mumbai, only to discover that he has slipped away from the remand facility. Karan eventually reaches Mumbai, where a garage owner gives him a chance at a fresh start.

Years later, in a roadside scuffle, the grown-up [Karan Kumar] is apprehended by the police and drawn into the orbit of [Devraj Kamat], a criminal mastermind who sees value in him. Kamat’s arrival rattles his rival, [Rattan Dholakia], who promptly tries to frame Karan for the murder of a police officer. Yet Kamat once again steps in to shield him, offering freedom in exchange for Karan’s loyalty and service. With a new plan in mind, Karan attempts to reconnect with his family through Arjun and Suman, but Sulakshana Devi remains wary and refuses to accept him back into their lives.

As the web of loyalties tightens, Karan finds himself drawn to Madhu, a relationship that brings a glimmer of hope as he resolves to walk away from the underworld. He believes he can leave that dangerous world behind, but the fracture lines between Kamat and Dholakia grow deeper. The two criminal powers band together to cripple Karan, recognizing him as a pivotal figure in their illicit operations and determined to remove him from the game once and for all.
