Hunting the Elements

In a tense intertwining of family ties and crime, the story follows Jonathan as a quiet tragedy reshapes every corner of his life. Daniel, his father, collapses from a heart attack at work, with Jonathan there in the doorway of fate but unable to lend a hand. The shock ripples through the family as a bank manager named Dedi refuses to pay out a life-insurance claim, insisting the contract does not cover such a sudden event. Dorit, Jonathan’s mother, becomes entangled with Dedi as a means of survival, a practical arrangement born of necessity rather than affection. Eliyahu and his friend Nick—old partners in the underground worlds they used to navigate as Lehi fighters—carry with them a history of audacious heists designed to fund their shared cause. The plot thickens as Eliyahu’s wife Roda lies in a coma, her life supporting a distant lineage: she is the daughter of a British lord and stands to inherit an estate that could alter the balance of power and wealth. Her brother, Michael Simpson, frustrated by his father’s preferences and choosing the difficult life of an actor over a family fortune, now seeks to pull Roda off life support and claim the estate for himself.
