Based on Lovecraft’s The Shadow Out of Time, a professor suffers a seizure that erases his memory. While recovering he becomes a stranger, alienates his family, and spends five years studying obscure subjects beyond his field. A second seizure restores his former self, but the intervening years vanish, haunting him with vivid dreams. Investigating the gap, he discovers a darkness far greater than a simple personality shift.
