Q1

Why did Anuradha get the bank job instead of Shyam?

Anuradha got the job because her father Shivshankar Panikar was senior to Shyam's father Sundarlal at the bank. Since Sundarlal died in a fire at the bank, the company rule stated the opening should go to the senior employee's heir, which gave Anuradha priority over Shyam despite his application.

Why did Devi Prasad pay the ransom even after realizing they weren't real kidnappers?
