A documentary that revives Henri‑Georges Clouzot’s abortive 1964 project L’Enfer, shedding light on the ambitious film that collapsed after three weeks despite studio backing and an unlimited budget. It features the original expressionistic rushes, screen tests and on‑location footage, reconstructs Clouzot’s intended vision, and enriches the story with interviews, dramatised recreations of unfilmed sequences and excerpts from the director’s own notes.
