Paris interdit follows the Italian mondo documentary tradition, stringing together bizarre French vignettes. It shows a woman stripping publicly on a bet, a father in an anti‑radiation suit fearing apocalypse, a kissing‑fetish cult, a transvestite wedding, a man teaching striptease to housewives, a self‑styled vampire, a funeral procession burning a mannequin, a mass baptism in a swimming pool, and a woman having her late dog taxidermied and fitted with an electronic bark device.
