Diane, a sophisticated trainee on the New York Stock Exchange, is abruptly abducted and held captive in a remote North African desert hideout by Selim, an Arab mogul. Though she remains physically in the desert, she is taken to another time and place without ever leaving the present, confronting a surreal blend of present and past realities.
