During the 1970s in New York City, a chorus boy whose dancing career is cut short finds himself drawn into the burgeoning world of gay pornography. Disenchanted with mainstream cinema, he collaborates with friends and lovers to create their own explicit films. The productions achieve surprising success, but the era’s excesses, the emergence of AIDS, and evolving video technology ultimately lead to the scene’s decline.
