At a lavish party hosted by businessman Matthews [Manuel Monroy], the night takes a dangerous turn when terrorists led by the megalomaniac known as The Cobra strike, destroying the industrial property he oversees. In the background, a high-profile wrestling event unfolds, featuring the celebrated masked star Goldface. A German reporter pressing for a straight answer about the man behind the mask discovers that no one seems to know, and the mystery only deepens as the show goes on. The real identity behind Goldface is Dr. Vilar, a scientist at the laboratory of the millionaire Perera, a charming but reckless womanizer whose day job hides a far more perilous double life. Dr. Vilar becomes intimately tied to the escalating danger as events spiral from corporate sabotage to life-or-death stakes.
The Cobra fires the opening shot of his plan by demanding a staggering 2 million dollars from Perera, threatening to wipe out his factories if the extortion is refused. Perera’s people recruit Dr. Vilar to deliver the money to the criminals, hoping the mission will be quick and quiet. At the meeting point, Cobra’s Number 2 snatches the suitcase and disappears into the night with the cash. When the deal is done, Dr. Vilar, now in pursuit of the criminals, chases them to a hotel. In a dramatic pivot, he sheds his persona to become Goldface, storms the location, and engages the terrorists in a ruthless assault, recovering the funds. The Cobra, ever calculating, learns that the money has found its way back to the rightful owner and begins plotting a new, more dangerous stratagem.
The Cobra’s next target becomes Pamela [Micaela Pignatelli], Perera’s daughter, a fearless participant in a motorcycle race. The danger isn’t far behind—one of the assassins sabotages Pamela’s bike, a move that nearly costs her life. Goldface intervenes just in time to pull Pamela from harm and keep her safe. A second attempt materializes when Pamela and her friend Olga [Evi Marandi] are at the shore, where assassins strike again during a perilous waterskiing sequence. Goldface responds with a daring, tech-enabled counterstrike: he borrows a radio-controlled toy plane and, with explosives aboard, destroys the killers’ boat, thwarting the assault. The Cobra observes the wave of failures and, angered by his operatives’ incompetence and the fact they’ve seen his face, decides to eliminate the witnesses with a brutal final display. Matthews’s real plan, however, is more insidious than mere murder: he intends to leverage the disaster of his own factories into a lucrative insurance claim and a future rebuild.
To keep the pressure coming, Matthews and a promoter stage a wrestling match featuring an impostor Goldface designed to draw out the real champion. The impostor loses, and the genuine Goldface makes his entrance, aided by his steadfast ally Kotar [Lothar]. The pair dig for clues but are quickly ambushed by Cobra’s men. Goldface suspects Gunner—Perera’s administrator—as Cobra’s inside man, and the confrontation grows increasingly tense. The Wrestler’s intimidation of Gunner intensifies the chase, pushing them toward Cobra’s secret base.
Pamela is seized once more, this time with a ransom demand of 4 million dollars. Goldface and Kotar press their way into the hidden lair, confronting the danger head-on. Gunner is killed in the crossfire as Goldface fights his way to Pamela’s side and frees her, signaling the police to storm the facility. In a climactic chase, Matthews kills Number 2 and escapes aboard a helicopter, forcing Goldface to pursue. The final confrontation culminates with a volley from the police that brings down Cobra’s helicopter, and Goldface returns to the ring, his day of battles and rescues seeming to close on a note of hard-won justice.
