The power seems real when it works on the first test subject. Ray and Fozzie realize the darts could alter relationships in unpredictable ways.

Ray and Fozzie test the darts on Angela, a prissy Jersey Girl, who instantly falls for Ray’s quiet bandmate Frank. The couple is followed around as Angela and Frank begin a whirlwind romance. After exactly six hours, Angela’s infatuation with Frank remains, proving the darts’ effect is real.

Seeing the darts' potential, Ray enlists Fozzie's help to craft the 'most romantic six hours' to keep Kelly in love with him after the initial power ends. Fozzie offers practical tips, knowing Kelly’s passions and sensitivities, despite believing the darts are immoral. The plan intensifies Ray’s fixation on Kelly.

Ray goes to Kelly’s house and darts her, causing her to instantly fall in love. Their date goes smoothly for the six-hour window, culminating in a kiss that feels perfect, but the clockwork ends and the magic fades. The moment reveals that the relationship was manufactured by the dart’s power rather than genuine feeling.

As the six hours expire, Kelly looks uncomfortable, thanks Ray for a wonderful evening, and leaves, showing that their love isn’t meant to endure. The failed romance confirms that the darts cannot create lasting love. The audience sees Ray’s self-centeredness and the limits of manipulation.

Ray returns to his apartment to find a mysterious box from Olympus with a note reading 'nice work.' He opens it to discover Cupid’s bow and arrow, signaling a new dimension to his role as the God of Love. The box serves as a tangible symbol of power and responsibility.

Three months later, the band continues without Ray. Angela has become the new singer, and Frank and Angela are in love, just as Kelly and Fozzie are. Ray has effectively orchestrated these relationships and is now far away with a bow and arrow attached to his back.

In a final voiceover, Ray apologizes for love’s senseless moments and admits he is the God of Love. He travels with Cupid’s bow and arrow, continuing to influence romance from afar, a wiser man who still bears the burden of his gift.
